Based in Canada, she serves as Vice President, North America at Kailo Medical, guiding the delivery of advanced imaging solutions that empower radiology teams across the globe.
Her journey in healthcare began at Queen’s University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science before taking a summer position in the University Health Network’s film library. Immersed in a world of paper charts and physical films, Jessica saw firsthand the inefficiencies that technology could solve, making it her mission to modernize the way medical information moves.
After graduation, she joined a software startup, gaining early insight into the challenges and opportunities of healthcare digitization. Her next chapter took her client-side, working with two of Calgary’s largest radiology groups. There, she played a key role in integrating community practices into the provincial electronic health record system,an achievement that demonstrated her ability to manage complex projects and deliver technology that truly improves clinical workflow.
Today, at Kailo Medical, Jessica drives strategy and client partnerships across North America. She leads with a deep understanding of both technology and the realities of healthcare delivery, ensuring each Kailo implementation aligns with the unique needs of clinicians and patients alike.

Joining Kailo Medical straight out of university, Jason Mercieca has spent more than a decade at the forefront of healthcare technology, helping to shape how clinicians connect, collaborate, and deliver patient care. With a Bachelor of Information Technology (Software Development) from Deakin University, Jason became Kailo’s fourth employee, working closely with the company’s founders to transform visionary concepts into practical, clinic-ready solutions.
Jason’s early experience across school IT departments and Telstra provided a strong technical foundation, but it was at Kailo that he found his purpose: advancing diagnostic imaging through intelligent, intuitive software. Progressing from developer to SonoReview Technical Lead, and now serving as Head of Research and Development, he leads a talented development team in building solutions that address real-world challenges in radiology.
Recent work under Jason’s leadership on system architecture,powered by modern web technologies and enhanced by AI,marks a significant leap forward in streamlining clinical workflows. His achievements include leading the development of KailoFlow, the next generation of SonoReview, which streamlines and enhances radiology workflows by integrating advanced patient forms, AI-driven insights and customizable worksheets and reports, all designed to deliver a seamless, efficient, and consistent user experience from any location
Jason believes that effective innovation starts with empathy, precision, and communication,whether architecting scalable, secure systems or collaborating with clients to meet strategic goals. Representing Kailo at global conferences such as RSNA, and earning Microsoft certifications in Azure Administration and DevOps Engineering, he continues to push boundaries in technical excellence.
Looking ahead, Jason is inspired by the transformative potential of AI. With the development and introduction of Kailo Air, the team is setting the stage for smarter, faster, and more efficient solutions.
From medicine to medical AI, Reuben’s career has been defined by a commitment to innovation that bridges clinical expertise with technological progress. After completing a Bachelor of Arts at RMIT in 2015 and an MD at the University of Melbourne between 2016 and 2019, Reuben began his medical journey with rotations at Ballarat Health Services and Western Health before entering radiology training in 2022. Now a radiology registrar under the RANZCR program with Keystone Radiology, he has developed extensive experience across CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI, and has performed hundreds of image-guided procedures, gaining broad clinical insight and a passion for improving diagnostic precision.
Alongside his clinical training, Reuben taught himself programming and began exploring the transformative potential of AI in radiology. This initiative led to authoring a 2024 Radiology: Artificial Intelligence paper on using large language models to detect speech-recognition errors in reports. This research has shaped his approach to building clinician-centred AI tools.
In 2025, Reuben joined Kailo Medical as Director of Clinical AI, leading the integration of generative AI within the company’s structured reporting platform. His focus is on delivering technologies that are practical, reliable, and radiologist-driven—enhancing accuracy and efficiency without disrupting workflow. He oversaw the integration of rei:Dictate’s voice-to-report engine into Kailo’s ecosystem, laying the foundation for Kailo Air, the company’s flagship product launching at RSNA 2025.
Reuben believes that innovation in healthcare should empower both clinicians and patients. By embedding intelligent automation into reporting, his goal is to make radiology more connected, efficient, and impactful—helping to drive Kailo’s mission to redefine diagnostic communication worldwide.
As Vice President of Strategic Growth, Lauren Therriault leads Kailo Medical’s global initiatives to expand the company’s reach and impact across the medical imaging industry. She oversees market expansion, product positioning, and strategic partnerships, ensuring Kailo continues to set new standards for innovation in diagnostic imaging software and services.

Denholm Rhys is driving Kailo Medical’s growth in the United States as General Manager of Operations, leading the company’s expansion and operational excellence across a fast‑scaling healthcare technology market. Since joining Kailo in 2018, Denholm has evolved from Software Specialist to Implementation Specialist and now oversees end‑to‑end operations across the U.S., ensuring every client engagement reflects Kailo’s commitment to precision, reliability, and innovation.
With more than seven years in healthcare IT, Denholm has built deep expertise at the intersection of technology deployment and operational strategy. He has led complex PACS and RIS implementations across major healthcare facilities—delivering seamless integrations, on‑time project completion, and measurable performance results.
